Aims of the Course:

 

The Baby and Pre-School qualification aims to produce teachers that can teach aquatic activities, including paddle strokes to babies and pre-school children during adult and children lessons.

 

Pre-Requisites:

 

Be 18 years of age or older

Hold the STA Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults certificate or acceptable equivalent

 

 

​​Length of Course:

 

3 Days 24 hours contact time

Planning, Preparing and Teaching Swimming K/504/3122

 

 

Baby and Pre-School Swimming H/504/3121

 

Assessment Criteria: 

 

Complete a portfolio of lesson plans x3 , schemes of work x1 Evaluation x1 to the satisfaction of the course tutor

 

 

​Teach 15 minutes lesson to between 2 and 4 adult-child pairs

 

 

Complete a 2x15 question multiple-choice paper with a unit pass mark of 11/15 per unit
